At the March Meeting of Milton Keynes Circle of the Catenian Association, Brother John Keane was presented with a scroll marking twenty-five years membership. John moved to Milton Keynes in 1979 and helped launch the CMK Shopping Centre. He worships at Christ the Cornerstone Church and was privileged to be present at its dedication by Her Majesty The Queen in March 1992. It is now part of the Milton Keynes Hub of Catholic Churches, otherwise known as the St Barnabas Cluster. John spoke affectionately about his time as a Catenian.
“The Catenians are a wonderful group of interesting people who pray, play and have fun together,” he said. “Being one is a most rewarding experience. Always ready to help and support when needed, and genuine friendship. Twenty-five years already, which proves the old adage: ‘time flies when you are enjoying yourself’.”
